History:

Top Agent Inc. was formed in 2000 by Managing Broker Carin Molin.  It was after working in and out of real estate for 10 years as an agent for two different highly respected larger companies. She had relocated and knew no one in the area and became the agent slash office assistant to the managing Broker and overviewed 60 to 100 agent files every month!   She ended up being in the office more and more and was the go to for anything someone wanted especially on weekends or times when the real manager was unavailable.  Anyway, she worked hard to try to gain new clients and also did the traditional FLOOR TIME (where in the old days you got phone and walk in leads) when other agents werent scheduled.  Meanwhile one afternoon one of her clients who she had shown homes to had come back while she was out…  Another agent on the floor told them she was out of town and she would be happy to help them…  Long story short Carin found out a few days later her clients wrote an offer on a home Carin had shown and they were in escrow!!  Carin spoke to the agent and she said she would give her something knowing full well Carin was the primary contact and basically lied to the clients..  Carin complained to the manager and wanted her full commission and to put it in writing.  The manager did nothing and suggested Carin speak to the other agent again to negotiate a split.. What!!!???  Okay sort of…. so the deal closes and the other agent hands Carin a gift belt..  WHAT??? Nope, not acceptable… Carin goes back to the manager and the manager makes up some story that made no sense. Understandably very upset Carin sought out some of her close friends advice outside of the office.  Several of them said she had lots of experience, why not just start her own company?? Hum, the idea actually had never crossed her mind before.  She was happy till then, not having to worry about the liability and overhead and bigness of stuff, but her recent experience showed she was not valued at that office like she thought she was.

A few months later, Top Agent was born.

CLOSER TO TODAY:

As of 2024 the company had been successfully supporting her and her needs over the years with referrals and happy past clients.  But back in December 2023 something sparked her wanting to get to the next level.  She realized times had changed and she and all her marketing needed a fresh look… to get new clients who didnt know her.  

Carin felt the need for a fresh perspective. Recognizing the evolving landscape, she enlisted a skilled marketing professional who not only revamped the logo but also provided invaluable tips for elevating her brand to the next level.  She doesnt impress easily, but this guy really knew what he was doing and heard what she wanted from their first lengthly consultation.  Embracing change, Carin underwent further transformation, not only adopting the new logo he had designed, but overhauling the company website, then even updating some personal wardrobe choices (including some just for fun Prada sunglasses), and a renewed pride in her company.
